Persevere

Persevere

The summit is shielded by harsh verticality.
My heart beats a relentless rhythm of exhaustion and frustration.
Like an unforgiving god,
The mountain turns its steep back in derision.

All mountains have peaks.
So must this one.
But my heart can see what my eyes cannot.
Hope becomes an antidote to reason.

Don’t give up.
A cliché…
Which works.
Reverberating the knowledge I was born with.

Each mountain has its end.
Each dream has its reality.
And, each of us can climb our way,
To any destination we choose.
